64-bit Software Development
I have now migrated all of my software development to a 64-bit platform.
When my current 32-bit desktop computer proved to be insufficient for the kind of development I was doing, I built a new computer to the specifications I needed, and installed 64-bit Fedora on it. I tracked down 64-bit versions of the main programs I needed (DB2, Oracle, WebSphere, WebSphere MQ, etc.) and installed them. I now use this machine exclusively for all my development and also general computing.
